Testimonials from pilots, students, owners, operators, etc...:

"I would like to thank Brantly International for the quality construction of my new B-2B helicopter. My purchase began with a phone call to Cy Russum Vice-President of Brantly Helicopers. As well as being Vice-president, Cy is a Helicopter Pilot and has a lot of flying time in all types of helicopters. After a short conversation I was invited to visit the factory in Texas. I am a fixed wing pilot undergoing rotor wing training and was shopping for the right helicopter to purchase. Mr Russum gave me a tour of Brantly's Helicopter plant and I was impressed. The helicopters are meticulously hand built and assembled, which results in a smooth flying ship constructed to the highest quality. I asked a lot of questions and looked at every phase of construction and thought that Mr Russum might get a little fatigued. But instead I was allowed to take the time I needed to understand how this helicopter is built. And now the defining moment has come! Mr Russum rolled out a B-2B helicopter to take me on a test flight. The preflight was straightforward, so we strapped in and as soon as the engine was up to operating temp, did a quick instrument check and then liftoff! During liftoff and climb I noticed how smooth the flight was. Cy asked if "I would like to take over the controls? " Taking over the controls I practiced some maneuvers and I noticed how smooth and responsive the controls were. Handing the controls back to Cy he performed a autorotation and headed for the helipad near Brantly's plant. After I touched down my mind was made up, time to get my check book. I would invite any prospective helicopter buyer to visit Brantly International's manufacturing plant. And to see and fly the B-2B helicopter, you can expect to be impressed."

"I can speak from years of personal experience. My Brantly was always ready to fly when I was. The B-2B is a great helicopter with a proven past and a promising future."

"This last summer (1999) I decided to get my helicopter rating. I am an ATP rated pilot and fly as a Captain on a 727 for a major airline. I decided the best way to do this was to buy my own helicopter and have a friend, Mr. Jack White, who is a Helicopter CFI, teach me."

"I looked the market over and was favoring the Hughes 269. I had only seen pictures of the Brantly, so I knew little about them. Then I came across the phone number for the Brantly factory, called and spoke to Doyle Patrick (Spare Parts Department), who told me all about the B-2B. Once he explained all parts were available and that there was factory support, I began looking at Brantlys.

I found a couple of "less than deireable" examples. Then, I came across N2180U, s/n 0342 located in Maryland, and owned by a private pilot. I flew up to Baltimore and went out to look it over. The ship had a beautiful paint job, nice glass, and appeared to be overall clean. It was then I took my first ride in a helicopter. I paid for the ship and made arrangements to pick it up."

"After getting the ship back to Florida, we discovered a few "details" that needed fixing. After correcting these items then re-rigging the control system and balancing the rotor, we had N2180U flying nice and smooth. Another thing that impressed me with the Brantly was the ease to work on it. I am a A&P and found it to be very easy to get to anything. And the factory was there with any help I needed!

I started training in the middle of June '99 and took my commercial rating Sept 9th. Mr. Scott Lundsford, a designee from Daytona Beach gave me the ride. The local FAA gave Scott permission to give me the ride, the Brantly was not on his approved list, but he had experience in them. (BTW, I did my training in the minimum time required)"

"The Brantly makes a great training helicopter and a great personal ship. I did my training in 95 degree/humid conditions, and the ship flew well. I really like the fact that when I'm ready to go fly, so is the Brantly. Just preflight and fire it up! Great helicopter!"

"If anyone wants info on the Brantly (other than the factory) please feel free to contact me at RJWalker@aol.com. I will be happy to relate my experience with these great machines."

"One of the things I like about my B-2B is that every time I go to the airport, my helicopter is ready to fly." .

"Congratulations on your 40th anniversary. I worked as an engineer for the UK Brantly agent, British Executive Air Services in Oxford from 1967 to their demise in 1975. The Brantly was a great Helicopter and I always enjoyed working on and flying in ours. I never realised how smooth they were until I flew in another type and I thought it was coming apart when it went through transition! And I never realised how well engineered until I had to work on another machine. My three favourite helicopters have anniversaries this year (1999); the Lama is 30, the Brantly 40 and the Alouette III 40. Good engineering just keeps on going so I expect to still see the Brantly in another 40. Good Luck!"

"The primary reasons for our recent Brantly B-2B purchase are: low initial and term maintenance costs, performance, ease of flying, great factory support and most importantly, its unsurpassed, 40-year safety record. Also, it's fun to fly."
